If one is actually conscious of Krishna, it means that he is conscious of Krishna's position. That’s why it’s described here that purusam means enjoyer. If we are actually conscious of Krishna it means that we are conscious that Krishna is the enjoyer. We have to be conscious of that fact. How can we say that we are conscious of Krishna if we think "I am the enjoyer"? The moment that we think that "I am the enjoyer" we can't be conscious of Krishna.
