There should be a proper standard, and the proper standard is that a person should be stably situated in his ashram in order to be a counselor. If somebody is not properly situated in his ashram, then they cannot be an example. And if they cannot be an example, then they shouldn't preach. Because everybody will think that the bad example is the right example.
