Whatever the Lord’s plan may be for us, we must always accept His dealings as mercy: “By the mere fact that the Lord has dealt with me and has not been indifferent to me, this is mercy.” This is the greatest mercy. A devotee should always think in that way, and is therefore always ready to accept any suffering that may come to him as the Lord’s mercy.
