"From namabhasa one can obtain liberation and freedom from the reactions of past sinful life, but it does not situate one on the platform of pure love of Godhead. Liberation and freedom from reaction is only the by-product of chanting the holy name of the Lord, not the ultimate goal. The ultimate goal of chanting is the development of pure love of God.
