The point is that there is certainly variety in spiritual life. But if we actually want to experience this variety, then we have to be prepared to do whatever Krishna wants us to do, and Krishna will reveal according to our surrender. Therefore, the highest aspiration for a devotee is to please the Lord. Whatever the Lord wants, let me simply be His instrument. And if a devotee maintains that as his constant aspiration, Krishna will reveal.
