When Krishna is especially merciful to His devotee, Krishna will take away his attachments. But that means Krishna takes away his external attachments;his internal attachments may still be there. So what does the devotee do? A real devotee, when Krishna takes away his external attachments, he will go on glorifying Krishna, he will go on hearing about Krishna, and he will pass Krishna’s test—his heart will become clean.
