We should always think of ourselves that we are fallen and worthy of mercy, but we can not demand it. There is a difference between feeling oneself worthy for mercy and demanding it. Demanding it means that we forget that ultimately the decision is up to the Lord or the decision is up to the devotee of the Lord.
