Due to association, which develops from affection, you might already justify within yourself that, "Actually, why shouldn't I appreciate nondevotional qualities? Maybe Krishna consciousness is too fanatic?” etc. etc. Gradually, the power of discrimination will decrease, affection towards the material energy will increase, and you will no longer be able to identify yourself as a spirit soul, part and parcel of Krishna.
