When we passed through the sea on the ship, although we are on the sea, quite safe, still, when there is some storm, when there is some disturbance on the ocean, we also become very much disturbed, because that situation is foreign to us. We are not so much disturbed in the land as we are disturbed in the ocean because we know that our position in the ocean is not our natural condition. So we should know that disturbance is due to our unnatural condition. Otherwise, there is no question of disturbance.

A poor man, begging from door to door, he cannot become God, as it is misconceived, daridra-narayana. Why Narayana can be daridra? What is this nonsense? He is the richest. And why He can, He will be daridra? The argument is forwarded that "God is in everyone's heart; therefore everyone is God." What is this argument? Everyone's heart, God is there. God said, isvarah sarva-bhutanam hrd-dese 'rjuna tisthati (Bg. 18.61). Where God says that because isvara, the Supreme Being, is situated in everyone's heart, therefore everyone is God? What is this argument? Where Krsna says that because isvarah sarva-bhutanam hrd-dese 'rjuna tisthati [Bg. 18.61], therefore everyone is God? Is that very sound argument?

God is the father or creator or whatever, or the source of all life, or source of our existence. Whatever you like, you can say. So we have, we have been created in that way. Eko bahu syama. God has become many. This is also version of the Vedas that many, all these many, we are also god. Just like the fire diffuses its sparks. The sparks coming out of the fire, they are also part and parcel of the fire. Similarly we, we are all parts and parcels of the Supreme. Now, He wanted to become many. He wanted to become many, so He has become many, and we are that many.

Anyone who is not surrendering to Krsna, he must be duskrtinah. Duskrtinah means he has got brain, but his brain is being utilized for sinful activities. So duskrtinah, mudhah, and rascal who does not know anything - what is God, what I am, what is this world - he's a rascal. He's animal. Mudhah means ass. As ass does not know what is God, what I am, what is this world, what is our relationship, what is this universe, nothing, no knowledge - mudhah - and duskrtinah, naradhamah means human being is especially meant for understanding this philosophical aspect of life, but one does not care. He is simply acting where to eat, where to sleep and where to get woman, and that's all. That's his business. This is mudhah. This is the business of hogs and dogs.

Marriage is a concession for a person who cannot control his sex desires. Of course it is a difficult job for the boys in this country because they have free access to intermingling with the girls. Under the circumstances, it is my open order for everyone that everyone can marry without any artificial pose. But if somebody is able to remain a Brahmacari, there should not be any causing for his marriage. But at the mature age say after 50 years old age, everyone should separate from wife.

In the beginning we, especially the brahmanas and the ksatriyas, two classes, higher classes, they have to take sannyasa. If not, at least the brahmanas must take sannyasa. The brahmanas have got four asramas: brahmacari, grhastha, vanaprastha, and sannyasa. The ksatriya have got three asramas: brahmacari, grhastha, vanaprastha, no sannyasa. And the vaisya two asramas: brahmacari, grhastha. Neither vanaprastha or sannyasa. And the sudras, they are simply one, grhastha, that's all. This is the Vedic order.

Please accept my blessings. There has been a serious mistake. I do not wish that Gurukula should be closed down in Dallas. So you kindly arrange to send your child back to Gurukula. One thing is at least for the time being, you must arrange to pay the tuition for your child. If you like, you can get my books and sell them and you can pay tuition in that way. You purchase at the temple's price and sell them and with the profit you can pay your tuition.

The more one feels imperfect in Krishna's service, the more he is advancing in Krishna Consciousness. Even the topmost devotees feel they are inadequate in their service to the Lord. So it is good to feel inadequate, and to try harder to please Krishna with better service. But one should never feel, oh, I have seen Krishna, and so I am reached perfection - this is not Krishna Consciousness.

Krsna Consciousness means full cooperation with Krsna, and Krsna means with all His entourage. We should always remember this. Just like when we speak of a tree, it includes the root, the trunk, the branches, the leaves, the flowers - everything. Therefore to love Krsna means to love Him along with all His Name, His fame, His qualities, His entourage, His abode, His devotees, etc.
