Krsna is not making lying propaganda. He has no business. He is giving you information, that if you become Krsna conscious, janma karma me divyam, always thinking of Krsna - how He is acting, why He has come, why He has appeared, why He has given us the Bhagavad-gita, what lessons He is giving - in this way, if you simply try to understand Krsna, janma karma me divyam yo janati tat..., in truth, not whimsically, not sentimentally, with sound philosophy, knowledge, argument, you try to understand Bhagavad-gita as it is, then you get tyaktva deham... Then after giving up this body, undoubtedly you go back to Krsna, go back to home back to Godhead.

Your duty is to take charge of your wife. So you can stick to your job and maintain your wife and family and give as fast as possible to the Hamburg temple. You cannot be irresponsible to your wife and child. That is not allowed. If you can go with your wife to Munich to open a center there certainly I have no objection. That is a different thing. But you cannot leave your wife to go to Munich.

I wish that all my students can become as adept at presenting the information in the books like this. You can make this a grand subject for agitation in that country and your preaching on this point alone will make you very famous. Therefore you should speak everywhere on this subject matter from the Bhagavatam and gita and you will be glorified. As the disciple is glorified so also the spiritual master becomes glorified more. Use this issue to advance your propaganda and become a leader in the society.

You can have God as your son. There are so many instances. Just like Devaki got Krsna as her son; mother Yasoda got God as her son; Saci-mata, she also got Caitanya Mahaprabhu as son. So this is better philosophy than to accept God as father. That is especially in the Vaisnava philosophy. Others, the impersonalist, voidists, they have no conception of God. Voidists -"Ultimately everything is zero," and the impersonalists, "God has no form." Both are the same thing, in a different language. The voidists, they say, "Ultimately there is nothing but zero," and the impersonalists statement that "Maybe something, but it is not person, it is imperson."

Simply working is not karma-yoga. Karma-yoga means... It is described in the Bhagavad-gita, yat karoсi [Bg. 9.27]. Whatever you are doing. Yat karosi yaj juhosi. Whatever you are sacrificing. Yad asnasi, whatever you are eating. Yad dadasi, whatever you are giving in charity. Kurusva tad mad-arpanam, "give Me." "You want to give some charity, give Me," Krsna says. But people will not give Krsna. If the members of the Krsna consciousness goes to some foundation, that "We are being doing this work. Give us some money." "No. Our money is meant for hospital and educational institution." And what you are producing? "Atom bomb. Oh, that is all right." This is going on. So we are, by material advancement, we are just advancing the cause of illusion. That is all.

Actually, these discussions of scripture is not to be acted unless there is relationship between the speaker and the audience. So audience means the disciples. Disciple means who accepts the discipline. Sisya. Sisya. The exact Sanskrit word is sisya. A sisya means... There is a verb, Sanskrit verb, which is called sas. Sas means controlling. From sas, the "sastra" comes. Sastra means controlling books. And from sas, sastra. Sastra means weapons. When argument fails, reason fails... Just like the state controls. First of all they give you the laws. If you break the laws, if you don't follow the regulation books, means sastra, then next step is sastra. Sastra means weapons. If you don't follow the regulation of the government, keep to the right, then there is police batons sastra. You have to be controlled. If you are gentleman, then you be controlled under the instruction of the sastras. And if you are defying, then there is trident of Durgadevi.

We are conditioned in every step by the laws of material nature. Still, foolishly, we are thinking we are free. This is foolishness. We are so much controlled by the material nature, exactly like a small child is pulled by the ear by his mother. "Come here." He comes here. "Go there," and goes. Just like a dog. A dog may feel very freedom, jumping. But as soon as the master says "Come here," he comes and immediately chained. This is our position. So that is our position, that we are completely under the clutches of material nature, and according to the modes of material nature, we are acting and changing our body in different species of life. So our real business in this human form of life is to get, try to accept the process by which we can get free from this conditioned life.

Regarding the farm, our business is not farming. Our business is to spread Krishna consciousness. So in favor of Krishna consciousness whatever policy is suitable that we should take. Even if you move the farm, how will it be conducted if your devotees are not interested? No, it is not a good idea. It will mean our attention will be diverted. If you have got more men, then it can be tackled.

You can continue sending me these news letters as you publish them weekly. It is this sankirtana which is the life and soul of our movement. Sankirtana and book distribution should go on together side by side. I am always glad when these activities are increasing and my pleasure is always increasing.

Regarding the question of second marriage, it cannot be done. Neither the law will allow it and neither we can encourage it. If they want to marry more than one wife, they must live outside our temples in their own arrangements. We have no objection if he does it, but it must be done outside the temple. It cannot be done inside the temple jurisdiction. Outside he can work, earn money, and if he wants he can maintain 16,000 wives. But he must go outside the Society. Within the Society only one marriage can be allowed.
