Niranjana Swami's Quote Of The Day

July 20

Srila Prabhupada emphasizes that those who realize Krishna as the goal of life, will help others to become Krishna conscious. This is the perfection of life. If we want to achieve life’s topmost perfection, we will not look for our own satisfaction but to Krishna’s pleasure.

We can glorify Krishna constantly if we are devoid of false prestige and ready to offer all respect to others. The spiritual master is anxious to see his disciples advance to this platform.

July 18

A spiritual master becomes pleased when he sees his disciples advancing in Krishna consciousness by displaying Krishna conscious symptoms. This is why the spiritual master tries to bring others to the spiritual platform. He doesn’t like to see pride, envy, or greed in his followers. Rather, he likes to see them satisfied in their lives and willing to give spiritual understanding to others. He knows that when devotees preach, they lose their bad qualities.

Krishna-katha should be vibrating from the lips of all the devotees. We should be discussing Krishna among ourselves.

Lectures from a disciple, Vol 1, p. 215, Kishinyov, June 1996

July 16

When we realize that Krishna is the ultimate goal, then we will see Krishna within everyone’s heart. Then we will want to help everyone become Krishna conscious. We will want to give Krishna to others, even though we may not have fully realized Him ourselves, simply because we know this activity is pleasing to Krishna.

Lectures from a disciple, Vol 1, p. 215, Kishinyov, June 1996

July 15

Our business in this world is not to look for our own satisfaction but to seek to please Krishna. Krishna will satisfy us Himself. Those who seek only their own satisfaction cannot unlock the mystery of real spiritual happiness.

Lectures from a disciple, Vol 1, p. 215, Kishinyov, June 1996

July 14

If we want to experience something we are not currently tasting in spiritual life, it is essential that we associate with real devotees. This is how we cultivate faith.

July 13

If we want to be effective preachers, we must learn to experience shelter in Krishna consciousness. Those who find that shelter can convince others of the glories of devotional service.

Lectures from a disciple, Vol 1, p. 214, Kishinyov, June 1996

July 12

If we find ourselves trying to avoid misery, it means we are in the bodily concept of life. It means we have not learned to find shelter in Krishna consciousness.

Lectures from a disciple, Vol 1, p. 214, Kishinyov, June 1996

July 11

Those who are satisfied in Krishna consciousness preach.
