Niranjana Swami's Quote Of The Day

July 10

If we know what pleases the Lord and how to execute it, then we don’t have to worry about our personal satisfaction. We don’t have to ask for liberation or any other perfection, because the perfectional stage of life has already been achieved by engaging in activities that satisfy Krishna.

Lectures from a disciple, Vol 1, p. 213, Kishinyov, June 1996

July 9

Those who are simply seeking liberation have not developed their attraction to hearing and chanting about Krishna. Because their concept of liberation is not fully satisfying to the self, they are unable to remain in a liberated position. A devotee knows that real liberation is achieved by constant hearing and chanting. This is why devotees don’t care about liberation—they are simply interested in the wonders of Krishna-katha.

Lectures from a disciple, Vol 1, p. 212, Kishinyov, June 1996

July 8

All he wants of us is that we love Krishna, and he instructs us that the best way to do that is to give Krishna to others. All he wants is that what has been awakened in our heart should be given to others. He wants us to preach Krishna consciousness.

Lectures from a disciple, Vol 1, p. 209, Kaunas, 9.20.1995

July 7

We don’t please a sadhu by bringing him his shoes, but rather by helping him in his preaching mission. This is how we reciprocate with a sadhu, especially that sadhu who has awakened love for Krishna in our own hearts.

Lectures from a disciple, Vol 1, p. 209, Kaunas, 9.20.1995

July 6

We don’t please a sadhu by bringing him his shoes, but rather by helping him in his preaching mission. This is how we reciprocate with a sadhu, especially that sadhu who has awakened love for Krishna in our own hearts.

A sadhu doesn’t have to make any other endeavor to attain devotional service. He simply concentrates on revealing the secret of Krishna consciousness to others and knows that he is guaranteed to develop devotion for Krishna.

Lectures from a disciple, Vol 1, p. 208, Kaunas, 9.20.1995

July 4

A sadhu is one who wants to reveal the confidential topics about the Lord. Although confidential topics are difficult to understand, a sadhu wants to share details of Krishna’s nature with others.

Lectures from a disciple, Vol 1, p. 208, Kaunas, 9.20.1995

July 4

We can carry Krishna with us by constantly chanting His holy name. Krishna is nondifferent from His name. We must develop the qualities to chant it honestly and constantly. To do so, we should read Prabhupada’s books.

Lectures from a disciple, Vol 1, p. 202, Kiev, 03.10.1991

July 3

No matter who or where we are, we should celebrate Krishna consciousness with chanting, dancing, and prasadam, and we should share that celebration with others.

Lectures from a disciple, Vol 1, p. 202, Kiev, 03.10.1991

July 3

A devotee is prepared to give up selfishness. He is prepared to accept any inconvenience, even if it means his own suffering. He is prepared to accept that the selfless giving of Krishna consciousness is the highest form of worshiping the Lord. When we preach in this way, kicking out everything else, and when others experience our real love, they will want to reciprocate with Krishna.
