When Arjuna had realizations after hearing from Krishna, what did he do? He fought on the battle field of Kuruksetra, but he fought in Krishna consciousness in full rememberence of the Lord. So hearing… If one actually hears the transcendental subject matter, it’s very compelling. One has to act on it, otherwise he doesn’t hear.

Diksa doesn't take place in one day at one fire sacrifice. Diksa means divya jnana, which means giving transcendental knowledge.
