Niranjana Swami's Quote Of The Day

November 16

When Arjuna had realizations after hearing from Krishna, what did he do? He fought on the battle field of Kuruksetra, but he fought in Krishna consciousness in full rememberence of the Lord. So hearing… If one actually hears the transcendental subject matter, it’s very compelling. One has to act on it, otherwise he doesn’t hear.

What is the process of cleansing? Hearing and chanting. However, without the right conception, what are we chanting? Is Krishna there, or not? Therefore, we have to hear how Krishna is there. That is the watering process, and that is the real connection between the spiritual master and the disciple.

So Krishna's body is eternal, but our body is temporary. Nonetheless, the living entity within the body experiences suffering only due to identification with this temporary physical body. If he wants to experience his eternal natural enjoyment, then he must know how to act according to his relationship with the Supreme Lord.

One meets Srila Prabhupada by the will of providence. And therefore by meeting him through his instructions we can actually connect ourselves to the sampradaya. We do not say that it is siksa alone which qualifies one to go back home. One must also take diksa in an authorized sampradaya. But it is described that diksa is an ongoing process.  Diksa doesn't take place in one day at one fire sacrifice. Diksa means divya jnana, which means giving transcendental knowledge. When one takes diksa in our sampradaya, the transcendental knowledge must continue to come through in order to complete that process of diksa.
